Beginners Guide to Making Patriotic Flip Flops for The Fourth of July

I love an easy DIY fix, especially for the holiday’s. Since the Fourth of July is only two weeks away I put together a beginners guide to making patriotic flip flops for the holiday. My family and I plan to watch the fireworks at the beach so they will come in handy. However, these flip flops are great for hot summer days too!

With only two pieces of supplies you can transform a basic pair of sandals or flip-flops into a festive addition to your holiday outfit. I bought my flip flops at the Dollar Tree. Since they are sold-out online here’s a similar pair for $3.00.

I cut 28 pieces of patriotic material into 5 inch strips. Then, I tied the cut fabric around the straps of the thong flip flops. You can use any fabric but I used cotton. I wanted to save some material so I went a littler shorter with my material, but you can cut your pieces of fabric into 6 inch pieces if you want them a little longer.
