We silenced ourselves on social media to take part in peaceful protests in Hollywood, CA, and educate ourselves last week. During our time standing in solidarity fighting for the rights of black lives we learned a lot. Today we are sharing a few of our favorite black owned businesses and how you can get involved.
There are an abundance of black owned businesses we love and want to share in support of the black lives movement, but we couldn’t share them all. However, every change starts with one simple act. We hope this list inspires you to spread love or knowledge and take part in this crucial movement and support black owned businesses.
As Brene Brown said “In order to empathize with someone’s experience… You must be willing to believe it as they see it, and not how you imagine their experience to be.”
We cannot possibly walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, but we will stand up, support equality and shop the amazing brands we love. Diversity and inclusion are only the beginning. We can be better. At Gamma Living we promise to do our part to showcase black owned businesses and continue to support black lives.
